Apparently, some of the favourite characters from Season 1 might be returning!? I watched like one episode of season 2. I much preferred the previous season. It would be great if we can see a glimpse of Jill x Nikki, Tracy x Stamie and Mikey x Raquel. Who do you guys want to see from Season 1?!!

When I first watched the trailer of season 3, I was seriously WAY WAY excited for it to come on TV. Alicia looked like she’s completely taken on a new confident and sexy persona. Then while I was checking out the CBS website, look what I find!?! Check out that poster of Alicia!?! I need to do a double take to ensure this is not the poster of some new drama they are looking to roll out!!
In the first half of episode 1, I was giddy with excitement in seeing the whole gang again. Alicia obviously looked amazing; Eli has his quirky charm; Kalinda looked H-O-T; and Will seemed aloof but don’t let him trick you!! Oh and the husband? Who cares!!?! Oh and Cary bugs me to no end so let’s ignore him for now.
Although I started off as pretty excited, I was soon a bit uneasy with the change in dynamics. I hate seeing Alicia and Kalinda stepping on each others toes. The same can KIND OF be said about Alicia and Will too. I’ll keep watching but I think I will try to control my expectations. I don’t want to end up being disappointed!!

It’s made two seasons, about to come out with a 3rd on 24 September and there’s news that some of the actors have been signed up for even season 4!!! Which TV show!?!? It’s THE GOOD WIFE!!! It’s a legal drama show which is packed full of thrills but it is also topped with subtext yuri!!! HOHOHOHOHO Kind of like Rizzoli & Isles but from what I gather, that show is moving away from subtext to “in-your-eye”-text!! I love the protagonist in the show, Alicia, as she’s such a tough cookie and kick arse lawyer!!
In season 1 & 2 she struggles with the role/personality of always doing the “right” thing versus pursuing what she honestly feels. Season 3 seems to break new ground with her character. It’s about HER being BAAAAAAAAAAAAAAD!!!!! OOOOH LA LA!!!! The trailer looks awesome!! I can’t wait to watch it!!! AfterEllen.com is excited too!!!!
Who watched the earlier seasons??! Are you going to watch season 3!?! If you’re not then you better have a darn good reason!!!!! hahaha

ANOTHER year has passed! Yasashii sekai… is now a ripe old age of THREE!!! Awwww! I would have never imagined to get this far!! I feel like this year has gone by very quickly. I feel a bit apologetic as I have been busier this year resulting in fewer posts. I hope you guys still find it entertaining and enjoy spending a few moments of your time here. *cross fingers*
Now what are the key highlights in the last 12 months? Let’s just quickly run through a few memorable stories from the last 12 months…
Let’s start with the mangas!!
Oh I miss Mari and Akko!!! This manga series was sweet, lovey and dovey and obviously had some drama thrown in. On the whole we got we wanted and they even got down to some serious business. HOHOHOHOHO!! I would have loved to see them grow up into women in the workforce!!! I must say, the art here is amazing and there have been some scenes that are absolutely breathtaking…*thinks of the karaoke scene*
Octave
This manga series seriously brings up a mixed bag of feelings. It’s good at times and sucks in some chapters too. On the whole, it’s still an amazing piece of work with almost real like characters. Oh and best of all, it’s an adult woman with ANOTHER adult woman! Bring these on!!!
Sasameki Koto
FINALLY Ushio realises her feelings for Sumi!! BUT OMG this manga is going at one-tenth of the pace of a snail’s! I’ve almost forgotten where we’re up to! *pause* Actually…I have forgotten -_-” *SIGH* Pick up the speed please!!

K-ON!!
Loved the gang although I did feel season 2 lacked the power to keep my attention and the music wasn’t as good. Nevertheless, I still think Mio and the gang (admittedly I have a soft spot for Mio) are heaps cool! Love the hoodie, Mio!! *wink*
So Ra no Wo To
I felt like this was the K-ON! gang but in another time and world!! hahaha Can you guys spot the parody pic up above?? hehehe Story wise I felt like it lacked a bit of excitement but it was pleasant to watch. Art was wow too!!
Sono Hanabira
Oooh la la… *wasn’t me look* Umm…go to Google images and do a search to find out what the big hoo haa is about. I should give the visual novel a go…anyone know whether I can get a Mac friendly version?
Highschool of the Dead
Scantily dressed and well endowed girls carrying guns and kicking arse…Oh! There are guys and some zombies around too! hahaha I didn’t expect this one to be so entertaining and despite the ecchi-ness I recall that there was some real depth in seeing the gang survive the zombies breakout. I’m looking forward to the OVA!
Angel Beats
Great art!! And of course Tenshi and her ma po tofu!! HAHAHA OOOOOH maybe I’ll make some this weekend!!! YUM!!
Psychic Detective Yakumo
I really enjoyed watching this paranormal detective show. The stories were moving and the soundtrack is just AMAZING!!! Must give this a go!! I bought the OST. ^_^
I’m not usually a huge fan of watching TV shows but this year was an exception!!
Rizzoli & Isles
A kick arse detective TV show with a super cool headstrong detective and a smarty pants elegant looking medical examiner!! LOVE this! And they’re coming back for a season 2! OH YEAH!!
The Real L Word
This was entertaining to some degree (I preferred some stories over others) but some were a BIT too much…I don’t regret watching it though!! hahaha My favourite couples: Stamie & Tracy and Nikki & Jill and Mikey & Raquel!!
Lip Service
This is just drama but is like the Real L Word but with a heavy layer of dark themes shrouding it…drugs…lots of alcohol and a hidden past. It’s a quality drama with nice to watch characters but I didn’t like the heaviness of this drama. Not really my thing.
However, the best of all in this category for me must be…

Yasashii sekai…’s 1 year old birthday post
This 8 part online series launched today! You can watch it on youtube and I’ve dropped it here to make it easy for you guys! I must say that I’m really confused. Was the four minutes or so the one “episode”? I felt like that was just an intro!! *minutes later* Yes, it turns out that is the intention. These web episodes are only 2 to 4 minutes long. They are hoping that if there is sufficient interest then they would be able to bring this to us as an actual TV broadcast where it will be much longer. We’ll see how it goes but I’m a bit concerned that 2-4 min will mean it won’t be satisfying enough? Must say that I have reservations on this show. The party scene is really not for me so if there’s a lot of focus on that then I might be tuning out. We’ll see.
I must admit that as of late, I feel like it’s the trend to throw in a gay character in anything these days to make it cooler. Like Kurt in Glee, Emily in Pretty Little Liars and Natalie Portman in Black Swan. Obviously I’m not quoting that many works but it’s just the feeling I’ve been getting. I guess it might be a passing trend?
Australia is starting it’s own reality L Word?! WOW!! Being a proud Aussie, of course I’ll need to watch this one! It’s going to be a web episode series and will be showing on AfterEllen.com starting on 2 March 2011!! That’s TOMORROW!! haha There is a more detailed intro article along with a trailer here. The show is about a real group of friends and their lives. They are all successful Australians ranging from late 20s to mid 40s (I think). I’m quite interested as I honestly have no idea what life is like back in Sydney. This should be fun to watch!!! Who’s checking this out!?!
Rizzoli I knew ages ago (season 2 expected to be in 2011) but The Real L Word was just announced two days ago!!! hahaha I figured that JUST in case someone didn’t know, I’ll just make a quick post about the latter!! I’m pretty excited! I’m not saying it’s the best show ever but it’s quite unique – I mean, a show about the lives of real lesbians? Apparently some of the gang in season 1 will stay on but they will bring in new faces. At the moment they’re still casting so timing is not sure yet.
So who do you guys want to stay on for season 1?! I want Tracy and Stamie (awww!!!) and Mikey and Raquel but I think the latter pair is unlikely to carry on simply because they seem so busy!!
Can’t wait!! If I hear anything more I’ll let you know!!
