I’m so SAD!!! The anime has ended!!! Daikichi and Rin are just so sweet together. I’m currently reading the manga and I am already up to the bit where Rin has grown up. It’s a bit weird to see her as an adult but I’m keen to finish it. Do we know whether there are any talks of a season 2?
This episode reminded me of when I was losing my baby teeth. My mum was the “tooth fairy”. hahahaha Years later when I was in primary school I found a bottle in the cupboard and there in there were all my baby teeth! I got a bit silly and kept shaking it around and it ended up cracking all the baby teeth in HALF!!! hahahaha Who else had a tooth fairy when they were young!?!?

I know you’re reading the manga currently, but do you know what happens at the end already? I don’t think we need a season 2 to finish off the rest of the chapters. I don’t want Rin to grow up!
Anyway, I loved this anime too! Absolutely adorable! When I saw the last episode where Daikichi was worried that if Rin lost her two front teeth it would look like she was punched in the mouth, I was rather amused. I remember losing my two front teeth thinking it was totally awesome (like Rin) and I loved those days, I wasn’t embarrassed at all. I just can’t help but think maybe my parents thought the same thing that Daikichi did about how I looked! x)
I had the tooth fairy too and I even remember once that even though my tooth wasn’t loose, I really wanted toonie, so I yanked it out a tooth within the day. ouch!

Yeah I kind of know what’s the ending. It’s a bit weird but I think it’s less weird when I know about it in advance. It kind of changes my mindset – if that makes any sense. I don’t see Daikichi as a father so much.
I plan to finish the manga this weekend!!! yay!!!
I was quite scared with my loose teeth but the thought of a tooth fairy was quite exciting. I remember trying to stay up late so that I can see the fairY!! hahaha so silly!!

Don’t want Rin to grow up? Sound like Rin might get rebellious in the manga.

Love the anime and its songs. Sigh, I want more of such series.

I’m confused, should i wait for anime season 2 or read the manga? . I hate this kind of decisions :).
Anyway, this was the best anime this year so far :). Now i want to have a child!

LOL!!! I don’t think there are any talks of a season 2. To me, the anime is staying quite true to the manga so I reckon go for it!!!!

i’ve been showing it to my old high school’s anime club (i graduated 2 years ago, but i still attend as the ‘mascot’), and we finished it this past week (though it appears we may have accidentally skipped an episode, lol ^^; ). i was going to spoil the ending of the manga to them (i had already poked around wikipedia and seen it for myself, and was actually anticipating the timeskip in the series and was disappointed when i saw it wasn’t going to happen), when the president said i should investigate the possibility of a season 2 instead. considering it hasn’t shown up on any of the lists of new seasonal anime (and the second season of a series tends to show up within 2-3 seasons after the first), i’m just going to accept the series as it is, and chalk it up to “the book is always better than the movie”. not to say i didn’t adore the series (the club loved it too, even the ones who are mainly in it for the giant robots), since it was a beautiful art style and too cute for words, but the manga is “better” in this case since it continues the story. the manga could have ended on the same note the anime did, but it chose instead to take it one step further.
that said, i’m not optimistic about a season 2, so i’m just going to tell the club that if they want to read about it, go to wikipedia. we’re going to start Ben-to! soon, but as hilarious as that series looks, it won’t be able to fill the cuteness void being left by Usagi Drop. That’s okay though, we at least had the opportunity to watch it and that itself was what’s important. :3

I think once you finish the manga you wont get so eager anymore… then again. I hope they would release a season 2 with a different, more “moderate” ending. I almost puked at the manga.

I did finish the manga actually earlier this year. I knew what was coming so I was too alarmed by the ending. It was a little weird I must admit but they did share a very peculiar relationship to start with. She made it clear that he wasn’t her dad. t kind of wish I saw a bit more development. I felt it ended a bit too abruptly.

Since the Manga only finished earlier this year, only a few months ago, I would hazard a guess that they might even consider UD Season 2 and make an announcement for said season in the next 12 months or so. I have watched the Anime and read the Manga, and to be honest, the Anime is more heartwarming and pulls mind in all the right places. Hope they really do bring it to Anime.
