Sorry everyone for the lack of posts!! It will have to be the case for another week as I am currently traveling with my sister in the US!! Those that follow me on Twitter will know this as I have been tweeting about our trip. My (younger) sister is a crack up!!
I’ve been trying to read some manga and watch some anime but the iPad is not very compatible with the usual sites and for some reason I can’t get onto the manga sites either!!! Argh!! I get this strange message – I’ve shown it below. To keep you guys entertained I’ve added a few pics from the trip!!! Enjoy!!!

ANOTHER year has passed! Yasashii sekai… is now a ripe old age of THREE!!! Awwww! I would have never imagined to get this far!! I feel like this year has gone by very quickly. I feel a bit apologetic as I have been busier this year resulting in fewer posts. I hope you guys still find it entertaining and enjoy spending a few moments of your time here. *cross fingers*
Now what are the key highlights in the last 12 months? Let’s just quickly run through a few memorable stories from the last 12 months…
Let’s start with the mangas!!
Oh I miss Mari and Akko!!! This manga series was sweet, lovey and dovey and obviously had some drama thrown in. On the whole we got we wanted and they even got down to some serious business. HOHOHOHOHO!! I would have loved to see them grow up into women in the workforce!!! I must say, the art here is amazing and there have been some scenes that are absolutely breathtaking…*thinks of the karaoke scene*
Octave
This manga series seriously brings up a mixed bag of feelings. It’s good at times and sucks in some chapters too. On the whole, it’s still an amazing piece of work with almost real like characters. Oh and best of all, it’s an adult woman with ANOTHER adult woman! Bring these on!!!
Sasameki Koto
FINALLY Ushio realises her feelings for Sumi!! BUT OMG this manga is going at one-tenth of the pace of a snail’s! I’ve almost forgotten where we’re up to! *pause* Actually…I have forgotten -_-” *SIGH* Pick up the speed please!!
Now onto the animes!!!
K-ON!!
Loved the gang although I did feel season 2 lacked the power to keep my attention and the music wasn’t as good. Nevertheless, I still think Mio and the gang (admittedly I have a soft spot for Mio) are heaps cool! Love the hoodie, Mio!! *wink*
So Ra no Wo To
I felt like this was the K-ON! gang but in another time and world!! hahaha Can you guys spot the parody pic up above?? hehehe Story wise I felt like it lacked a bit of excitement but it was pleasant to watch. Art was wow too!!
Sono Hanabira
Oooh la la… *wasn’t me look* Umm…go to Google images and do a search to find out what the big hoo haa is about. I should give the visual novel a go…anyone know whether I can get a Mac friendly version?
Highschool of the Dead
Scantily dressed and well endowed girls carrying guns and kicking arse…Oh! There are guys and some zombies around too! hahaha I didn’t expect this one to be so entertaining and despite the ecchi-ness I recall that there was some real depth in seeing the gang survive the zombies breakout. I’m looking forward to the OVA!
Angel Beats
Great art!! And of course Tenshi and her ma po tofu!! HAHAHA OOOOOH maybe I’ll make some this weekend!!! YUM!!
Psychic Detective Yakumo
I really enjoyed watching this paranormal detective show. The stories were moving and the soundtrack is just AMAZING!!! Must give this a go!! I bought the OST. ^_^
I’m not usually a huge fan of watching TV shows but this year was an exception!!
Rizzoli & Isles
A kick arse detective TV show with a super cool headstrong detective and a smarty pants elegant looking medical examiner!! LOVE this! And they’re coming back for a season 2! OH YEAH!!
The Real L Word
This was entertaining to some degree (I preferred some stories over others) but some were a BIT too much…I don’t regret watching it though!! hahaha My favourite couples: Stamie & Tracy and Nikki & Jill and Mikey & Raquel!!
Lip Service
This is just drama but is like the Real L Word but with a heavy layer of dark themes shrouding it…drugs…lots of alcohol and a hidden past. It’s a quality drama with nice to watch characters but I didn’t like the heaviness of this drama. Not really my thing.
However, the best of all in this category for me must be…

It’s that time of the year again!! Time flies and I can still remember how excited I was when I found the perfect x’mas picture last year. Yes, I know this year’s pales in comparison but that one was hard to beat!!! In any case, I wish you all a very merry x’mas. Lots of love and kisses from those around you and most importantly pressies!! LOL Having said that, the most important thing is to be optimistic and happy with yourself. Merry CHRISTMAS!!!
So I was finally at home reasonably early and about to do some yuri catchup when something went “DING” in my head…
OMG…is it today!?!? *goes off to check* OMG!!! It’s TODAY!!!
YES! That’s right!! Yasashii sekai… has now been around TWO WHOLE YEARS (and 1 day cos I forgot :P)!!! WOW WOW WOW!!! I can hardly believe it myself!!
Work has been hectic for me this year so regulars to my blog would notice that it’s updated less frequently than it used to but I will TRY to keep it up!!! Before I ramble on too much, let’s have a quick recap of some highlights in the last 365 days…
This one must top my list!!! Breathtaking art, doki doki moments and with an opening that gives you that indescribable “AWWWWWW” warm fuzzy feeling…what more can we ask as yuri fans?! Oh and did I mention an absolute squeal fest opening song and closing scene!?!?! ^___________^ I love some of the quotes in the anime so I chose to revisit a few…
Not quite as perfect as Aoi Hana but hey! that one is hard to beat!! Sasameki Koto is in my opinion a bit more patchy in terms of yuri enjoyment. There are some moments which captures the hilarious slapstick comedy but at times can also get quite serious…almost too serious. In my opinion, the manga (particularly the 2nd half) is much better. The art always manage to take my breath away every so often.
LOVED LOVED LOOOOOOVED this anime!!! Light-hearted and HEAPs of fun!!! And best of all, about MUSIC!!!! YAY!!! I think my favourite characters were Yui and Mio!!! *BEAM*
Basically a story about an academy filled with elite bright students equipped with special powers but they spiced things up with a sprinkle of yuri, a glimpse of the different types of panties available and flashes of someone’s panties. “Aaaaah. Seeing your striped panties always calms me down.” PWAHAHAHAAHAHA
This was one just for laughs but was entertaining enough!!! ROFL!!! SUPER DODGY!!! This anime crossed paths with bondage, stalkers, some tongue action, groping, lingerie, cat ears/tails, cosplay, wearing aprons with nothing underneath O_Ox9999999, pocky game…the list goes on…hmm…looking at this list, no wonder Sapphire Onee-chan is a fan of this anime!!!! :P
Mahjong has never been this exciting before!! And SOOOOOOOOOO YURIFIED!!! hahaha If only there was season 2!!!! ::CRIES::
Last but not least is Canaan!!! Maria x Canaan!! *SQUEAL* The first half was better than the first half though…I loved the theme songs!! I bought the singles!!

I just wanted to say Horraaay! A couple weeks ago I stumbled here while looking for any info on the 4th season. I was happy to find somebody as anxious as I was about the release date, and tonight I checked http://www.gokigenyou.com and saw the 2009 and a 1 on the main image of the site, so I jumped over here to see if it was what I hoped it was! And it was! Now I just hope a good fansubbing group will do it right away. I intend to buy it when it’s released in the US officially, but waiting a year+ for Right Stuf to release would be murder! It was hard enough waiting for the first season to arrive and I’d already seen it.
Hrm, I know they have the rights to seasons 1-3, but I wonder if that carries over to season 4. Hopefully not.
P.S. I read your ‘about me’ section, and you really shouldn’t have skipped over most of Sailor Moon, you should watch it all. (source)
