Prior to watching this, I wasn’t all that keen because I didn’t really like the look of the character designs…but after one episode…
*PAUSE*
HAHA! YEP I’m going to watch this one! I haven’t watched episode 2 yet but I heard it’s got YURI stamped all over it!! HAHAHAHA Now let me explain…
Here we have a city, Academy City, that’s known for training young girls to have superhuman powers (basically fighters with extra powers like teleporting and electrocution!?!) and a selected few are part of a group called “Judgment” that upholds justice and beats crime.
First up to make an appearance is Kuroko, who is a member of the Judgment. I’m not really a big fan of her character design and she comes across as somewhat annoying BUT she will be the one that will bring us yuri, so I can’t really complain! haha Her extent of infatuation over her sister is a little disturbing… -_- hahaha
On the otherhand, I much prefer her older sister, Mikoto!!! KAKKOI!!! To make her even cooler, she’s meant to be one of the few students with LEVEL 5 rating!! I like her!! ^_^
A K-ON! doujin that you have to read!!! hahaha It’s pretty funny!! All hard work goes to Wings of Yuri!! Thank god we had them around!! ^_^
Episode 13 kicks off with a melancholic air to it…like it wasn’t sad enough that this was going to be the finale!!! >_<
It was honestly a somewhat strange episode to begin with. All the characters seemed to have something on their minds…except for Yui of course. hehe She’s so obliviously cute!! hahaha Actually as the episode got closer to the end, I really fell for Yui. I love how she’s so honest and innocent about her feelings. I think my heart skipped a beat when she said:
Everyone’s amazing! But don’t become adults and leave me behind.
It was so raw and honest. Almost too honest but so true at the same time. It’s a sad reality that as we grow up, the distance between friends typically increases.
Let’s not talk about the fact that it’s a finale first…
At least here they managed to find an excuse to satisfy the eyes of us fans!!! Sawa-chan sensei makes all these kawaii pieces for them!!! MUGI-CHAN!!!! KAAAAWAAAAIIIII!!!!!!! AHAHAHAHAHA
More importantly, in this episode, they decide to let Azusa practice as the lead guitarist! Only because Yui is sick. When she returns back for practice something RIDICULOUSLY happens!! After practising through once, Mio suggests they try again. At first I was confused – then the same thing happens – they decide to practice again!!?! haha Reason?!
Their playing matched PERFECTLY!!!! hahahaha Mio & Ritsu could not BELIEVE IT!!! hahahahahahaha Couldn’t help but laugh!!
Turns out that it actually wasn’t Yui!! It was Ui trying to stand in as her sister!! Hehe of course the others see thru her soon enough as she’s way too polite compared to Yui!! Haha (found it hard to believe she could play but oh well – anything can happen in amine/manga world)!!!
But one of the biggest highlights in this episode was when Azusa says: “You’re the worst!” and then Yui goes up to cuddle her!!!! Kawaii!!!! I’d put a heap of screenshots here if I could but I’m away from my laptop! :(
Finally I liked how they tied the ending (*sob*) back to the beginning and showing the growth (what growth?!? J/k) in Yui.
*sigh* so this is the end of K-ON!!! I want more!!!!!!
*DEPRESSION*
This episode was a tad more serious than the ones before. We still get the ridiculously cute blush scenes like:
- When Yui explains she chose the guitar because it was CUTE – plain & simple!! hehe Azusa!?! Quit trying to understand Yui!!! It’s IMPOSSIBLE!!! haha
- When Mio sees all the lefty guitars on sale!! KAWAII!!!! Love the subtle blushes!!
- When Azusa tries to break the tension in the room by putting on the cat ears!!!! HEHEHE Now I didn’t see THAT one coming!!!! KEKEKEKEKEKE
BUT, despite all these blush scenes, for once we see some real TENSION between friends!!!
