My blog has been up and running since March 2008 and since then, I have made many friends who have passed to me countless recommendations! I’ve created this page so that both you and me can keep track of things! How’s that? I honestly take every recommendation quite seriously.
Note: Seriously does not mean I will necessary watch/read your recommendation straight away! LOL If some fancy yuri comes along, I’ll probably drop what I’m doing and run to it like mad! hahaha

- Vampire Knight – really enjoyed this series though I’m now a bit ‘vampired out’! LOL (Just read book 1 of the Twilight series…). Anyway, I was drawn by the tension between Zero and Yuuki – it’s not quite love but I just couldn’t stop watching!! Yui Horie is great! Oh and I prefer Zero over Kaname-senpai!!
- True Tears – the story sounds very touching…need to see this…
- Ichigo Mashimaro & OVA – LOVE IT!

- Cotton (manga) ~ this one doesn’t really have any significant WOW moments but it was overall a pleasant read. I liked the art and the story was simple. Wouldn’t have mind the yuri to have gone a tad further… =P

- Gakuen Alice! ~ voices of Yumi and Touko! YAY!
- Bamboo Blade ~ there’s Megumi!!
- Pieta (manga) ~ loved it loved it loved it!!! I can’t rave about it more!!! My post!
- Aoi no Hana ~ the art is good and has a very gentle atmosphere to it. A must read!! Waiting for next volume!!
- Hanjuku Joshi ~ this one is ecchi…
- Gokujou Drops ~ strange but it kind of reminds me vaguely of Yumi and Sachiko! That’s SO wrong!! Another ecchi one.

Story seems to be about a girl who is a novice witch and along with the other senior witches, have the task of destroying church knights. Brief shadows of yuri but not much. Will keep reading…
- Octave ~ currently following but disappointed. Despite being a manga on two adult girls, one is really becoming a pain!!! Grow up!!! On the otherhand, Setsuko is pretty cool!!!! I like her! The manga is still going, currently scanlated by Tranquil Spring.
- Amanchu ~ by Amano Kozue who wrote Aria.

- Spring, Summer, Fall, Winter (mature) ~ scanlated by Lililicious ~ I’m not the biggest fan on the art but there’s a pretty damn good mix of stories on the two couples from how they first met to… ^_^ There’s also some interesting interaction between the two couples and side stories. I like how the softer two have moments of “wearing the pants” in the relationship!! hehe Some a bit silly/funny but others a little touching. It’s a good assortment!
- Hotaru no Mori E (non-yuri manga)
- Kimi ga Aruji de Shitsuji ga Ore de ~ we get to see Shizuka chasing after a girl!!! hahaha How can I not watch it?? hehe

Mnemosyne -although I didn’t care for all the gory stuff..lots of yuri, I liked the strength and passion of the main characters, and the storyline was quite interesting. It’s not very long…6 episodes OVAs I believe.
Penguin Musume Heart- high school girls, one crazy otaku girl, yuri, a bit of fan service…what’s not to like. I really hope they continue with this one. It’s face paced and funny.
Koihime Musou – I recommended this to you before, but you mentioned something about being picky about Chinese incorporation. I still enjoyed it.

Thanks! I’ll add them to my list minus Mnemosyne! I’ve actually already watched this one. You’ll find my review under the ‘Review’ tag. THere were many elements that I liked but overall I was put off because of the gore. I would have LOVED it if only they cut or toned down the gory/torture bits. But I liked the chemistry between Rin and Mimi!!

… I just stayed up to 4:16 am… (which is kinda creepy, ‘cuz that’s my birthday…) but anyways, I stayed up so … early? because I was watching this anime that has forever changed my taste in anime….
Ga Rei Zero.
I would like to say I prefer the anime, because… it’s just so… so… *indescribable.*
But I haven’t read the manga, so … yeah.
Anyways, no spoilers or summaries. Just read it without knowing anything.
That’s what the watchers usually say, and it explains everything in detail as you get farther and farther into this beautiful anime. But the only thing I can tell you is that it’s kinda confusing at first, but you’ll understand it quickly. Oh yeah, it has gore and blood spluttering…. not always, but it usually has a good reason why. So, I’d REALLY REALLY recommend it!!!!! Read the manga or the anime, but I REALLY REALLY REALLY recommend it! You can kill me if you don’t like it! I put my life in “Ga Rei Zero”’s ….. story. I think… it’s kinda risky.

I got a good JDorama!
Mendol-Ikemen Idol – about 3 girls who wants to become idols but the only thing to become famous is that they have to dress up as boys! It has yuri, well at least I think, there is girl love in there! It’s funny too! The opening and Persona’s (the girls/boy idols) songs are pretty good! Has 12 episodes, each about 25 minutes.
It’s pretty good, I enjoyed it a lot!

I wanted to recommend K-ON! K-ON! is hella funny. It’s new, so there’s only a few episodes released. My favorite character is Mio, fyi. xD, she’s super MOE! Though I hope there will be yuri, I’m pretty sure it won’t be the main thing. At least not like SP or anything. T__T I need to watch some good yuri….. I’ve finished most of the good ones… (that I know of…)

As for the manga, I’ve seen the first link and gave up! It was CRAP!! Ugh storyline too. The other one that you liked was much better. But still, I’m not a fan of alien stories. But check out the anime!! It’s worth watching!

Yeah… my dad was pretty neutral about it though. =_= My mom went to “quite” a school. Yeah, I’m pretty sure there are some all girls’ schools that aren’t like my mom’s. Actually, did I mention the all girls’ school my mom went to was a catholic school? Actually, her primary school (St. Rose of Lima) was also one, but it was co-ed. Thank god my mom didn’t grow up around girls. =_= She also had like, 6 brothers and 3 sisters. xD My grandma would’ve had a hell of a time, if not for my grandparents being so STRICT. xD

I got another one! But it isn’t yuri. It’s called Shangri-La. It’s really good. Love the opening! It does have transgenders of men to women but they are hilarious! I just love Momoko-san!! It’s an action anime. I’m not sure if you like action, but if you do, you’ll probably love this! :)

Yes, Momoko-san is awesome! There is also Miko I think? Forgot the name but he’s (or she xD) also a transgender. He’s cries a lot though and is funny with Momoko-san. I just love them <3 I think you’ll enjoy, if not, then I don’t know, but yea xD

Hi Ari!! THanks for adding this to your favourites!! THank YOU!! I have read Octave but it’s not really catching my attention. I like how it’s a story between two mature girls but I don’t like Yukino’s character. On the otherhand, I think Setsuko is pretty cool. I’m just hoping that Yukino’s character matures and become less of a complainer. Weise Frau? *Googles* Ooooh!! Sounds pretty interesting?! OMG?! How come I didn’t know about this?!?! I’ll admit I’m not greatly impressed with the latest Octave chapters but I do really like Setsuko too… Weise Frau only gets updated once in a blue moon but I’m intrigued by the whole idea and I’m just hoping it’s not all about the kid gothic lolita character.
Not sure if you liked Aria by Amano Kozue but she has a new series out now called ‘Amanchu’ which is very similar and turning out to be just as cute! If you go onto Livejournal there’s an amanchu community with all the mediafire d/l links ~ http://community.livejournal.com/amanchu.

Hi Nerei! I’ve actually read some of the stories of this volume but not all. I agree! Some of the stories are quite good but art style falls slightly short of Milk Morinaga’s. I haven’t read Little Red Riding Hood yet but my favourite so far is First Kiss. =) What’s yours?

I guess I enjoyed the chapter “Her” from the book the most, cuz that was what got me interested in looking for the whole manga. First impressions do matter. Apart from that, I love the ending chapter where things get wrapped up nicely.
Actually, I also like Nanzaki Iku’s works. It has mature contents, though I doubt u mind much with Octave on your reading list.

Oh, a little late but a brief self-intro:
A yuri-loving female who also watches tons of various other anime (my ANN list is approaching 1,000 titles). Can’t really remember how I got into yuri initially when all my friends are into yaoi but yeah, that’s how I ended up. Am glad to see that there are more and more yuri titles these days (Candy Boy!) and hope that Sasameki Koto turns out well as an anime! (Aoi Hana as well, but I like Sasameki Koto more.)

OMG! Don’t get me started!! It honestly is very exciting for us all in the next two months!!! I mean, both Sasameki Koto and Aoi Hana are both pure yuri animes. Yuri is not a sub-theme but a KEY theme!!!!! And it’s not hentai or ecchi either. I think that makes a HUGE difference. I seriously CANNOT WAIT!!!
As for me, I only got into anime around this time last year. At the time I had been watching the Japanese drama Last Friends (btw, this is a great drama where a girl falls in love with a childhood friend but suffers the angst of not knowing how to handle their friendship) and someone had mentioned Strawberry Panic and Marimite. Surely, you know what happens after that….it all went CRAZY THERE ON!!! hahahaha Since then I’ve watched various anime but I have a BIG soft spot for yuri. ^_^ So that’s basically it!!! hahahaha

Hi Nerei! I don’t generally watch AMVs but on occasion I’d do the usual hunt on Youtube after watching an anime! hahaha This one is pretty good! I like the music too. With Kannazuki no Miko, I quite liked the pair but I HATED the rest of the anime – all the mecha and fighting etc – NOT INTERESTED!!! But the bits with just them two, I quite liked. Particularly when they meet for the first time in episode 1!!! I went all *SQUEAL*!!! hahahahah
Kimi ga Aruji de Shitsuji ga Ore de? Nope. Is it worth checking out??? haha I just did a quick google – Shinra voiced by Shizuka Ito?? Sounds bloody appropriate!!! hahahaha I’ll note it down on my LONG list. =)

I love Kannazuki no Miko (ignoring all mecha scenes) as well! I keep re-watching the last 2 eps (ignoring all mecha scenes) just to see Chikane and Himeko together!
Yeah, Shizuka voices Shinra-sama in this one. I thought it was so damn appropriate for her whenever Shinra-sama hugs the other girls in the show. -.-|| I can totally imagine it being Shizuka instead. It’s slightly ecchi though, and a comedy in that it makes references to other anime at times.

Just check some of the recommendation and seem like you don’t have High School Girls/Girl’s High on the list? But doubt that you haven’t watch/read it though.
Its not a new anime/manga nor is it shoujoai/yuri but if you have your yuri goggle on then definitely gonna see some real thing it have fake yuri in it though since its about bunch of girls after all, I finished it years ago and its 9.5 in my rating so if you haven’t check it out yet, you’ll have to watch/read it right away. :>

lol, I guess their friendship was awesome to me that’s why I really like it.
And some parody on the start of each episodes. It was funny too. Not really that ecchi in my opinion.
Other than those first few episodes panties showing and stuff which is not anything worst than those other anime like *cough*QB*cough* and such.
Well, our views of the some series have a huge gap I guess. ^^;

My memory is a bit vague to be honest! The anime was ok I recall – maybe like a 6? I remember that the anime is a bit old which showed in the animation. But I generally watch anything with Hitomi Nabatame and Mamiko Noto!! hahahaha

hhahahah I had the EXACT same thoughts Nerei! The first time i heard about it I got all excited because of the yuri seiyuu names but when I saw the character designs – it was one of those “spurt my drink out if I was drinking” moments!! haha REALLY not my type at aLL!!

I’m starting to watch the anime called “Umi Monogatari – Anata ga Itekureta Koto”. It’s like a magical girl anime, it looks good though! Love the music and the art work. And 3 seiyuu that I bet you know! Aki Toyosaki, Minako Kotobuki. and Yui Horie. Minako and Yui are the main characters but I haven’t seen Aki’s appearance yet. It kinda looks like shoujo-ai to me, though Minako’s character got dumped by her boyfriend and so she’s single. Maybe something might happen…fufu… XD

Yeah, it looks like there might be yuri between the 2 mikos in Umi Monogatari, but I prefer Kannazuki no Miko for that. XD

Yuri’s more of a subplot but even tho its kinda of a harem anime, I think the Chizuru and Akachan pairing in Seitokai no Ichizon made it worth to check out xD.
